This glockenspiel was used in the recording of Carol our Christmas. It is a 1910 Deagan round top glockenspiel which my father and I restored many years ago. The peculiar shape of each bar, being slightly convexed, entirely eliminates all over tones leaving a pure fundamental tone which gives a bell song of the past that modern glockenspiels can not produce.
